My Story: Chapter 2

I have decided to blog about my journey in creating ThisOldTooth.com as well as blog about dental health. I will make it part of “my story” because the creative aspect is what keeps me going. So you will not just get the results of my research on dental care. You can learn how I have discovered and fumbled my way through the ins and outs of blogging, podcasting, and …omg…social media.

I am a “baby boomer” and I have to say, social media, which my children grew up eating for breakfast, can be very intimidating. In addition, I have had to set up a word press site, which I was told was a piece of cake. The people that said that must be patronizing a different bakery than I am because it is anything but cake. It’s not even a cookie or a stale donut. It’s been like chewing on shoe leather. Tough, frustrating and it doesn’t taste so great.

But, like everything else, I will muddle through it. I think my social media links are finally actually, well…linked. I am not even thinking in terms of SEO. I just want to be able to get the correct posts onto the correct pages. I also need to get a little bit more “hashtag” savvy which my friend and I agreed is really just a small tic tac toe board, yet, so much more powerful.

I did get my first Newsletter out. I will eventually archive it on the site so you can read it. And, if you have subscribed to my blog, you will get one monthly.

Let me know what I can do to make this a great portal of information for you. Keep smiling! Lisa
